About
Brooklyn Pool
Brooklyn Pool, the 20-year-old Miss Rodeo Alabama 2024, is a dynamic young woman who is leaving her mark both in the rodeo arena and beyond. Hailing from Foley, Alabama, Brooklyn is the proud daughter of Jennifer Parker, Jeff Pool, and Joey Parker, and comes from a first-generation farming family that recently ventured into the beef cattle business. Despite her busy schedule, Brooklyn is also a dedicated student at the University of West Alabama, where she is currently a junior majoring in Business and Accounting.
Brooklyn’s rodeo journey began at a young age, and she credits much of her love for horses to her grandmother, Pat Swann. It was with her grandmother that she learned the fundamentals of riding, and the time they spent together has had a profound impact on her life. Those summers spent on horseback laid the foundation for what would become Brooklyn’s lifelong passion for rodeo. As she grew older, Brooklyn’s natural talent for barrel racing began to shine. She quickly became a well-known competitor in the West Alabama Horseman Association, the Alabama Open Horseman Association, and the Alabama High School Rodeo Association, where she gained valuable experience and honed her skills.
Through hard work and dedication, she earned multiple top-ten finishes in barrel racing events, building a strong reputation as a skilled and determined competitor. In addition to her achievements in the arena, she served as Student President of the Alabama High School Rodeo Association from 2020 to 2021, showcasing her leadership abilities and commitment to the rodeo community. Brooklyn’s passion for the sport and her leadership qualities did not go unnoticed, and she continued to make strides in her rodeo career as she entered college.
During her college years, she competed as a member of the Mississippi State University Rodeo Team, further refining her skills and gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level. Her dedication to rodeo led to her being crowned Miss Jennifer Claire Moore Rodeo Queen in 2019 and 2020, a title that highlights her poise, grace, and ability to represent the rodeo world with pride. Brooklyn’s growing list of accomplishments and her ongoing commitment to the sport have solidified her place as one of Alabama’s rising rodeo stars.
Rodeo Career
Today, Brooklyn is the proud owner of three horses, including a promising barrel prospect colt. When she’s not competing in rodeo events, she enjoys spending time outdoors, riding four-wheelers, hunting, and fishing. These activities are a reminder of the strong connection she has to her family and her rural Alabama roots, where hard work, perseverance, and a love of nature are at the heart of everything she does.
As Miss Rodeo Alabama 2024, she is using her platform to make a difference in the lives of others. Her platform, “Fight Like a Cowgirl,” is dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer, an issue that is very personal to her.
Inspired by her grandmother’s battle with the disease and her eventual victory as a breast cancer survivor, Brooklyn seeks to honor those who have faced this challenge. Through her platform, Brooklyn hopes to inspire others to fight with courage, just as her grandmother did.
Brooklyn’s year-long reign as Miss Rodeo Alabama will culminate in December 2024 when she will represent her state in the Miss Rodeo America competition, held in Las Vegas in conjunction with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. This prestigious event marks the next chapter in Brooklyn’s rodeo journey, and she is excited to take on this new challenge, knowing that her hard work and dedication have prepared her for this moment.
Brooklyn Pool’s journey is a testament to the power of family, perseverance, and passion. As a rodeo competitor, a student, and a representative of Alabama, she embodies the values of strength, leadership, and resilience. With her eyes set on the future, Brooklyn is sure to continue inspiring others, proving that with determination and a little bit of grit, dreams really do come true.
