About
Jordan Jensen
Jordan Jensen, a 23-year-old from Brookings, South Dakota, has made history as the first Miss Rodeo South Dakota to hail from Brookings and the first to have lived in Watertown. Crowned during the Brookings PRCA Rodeo, Jordan’s journey to becoming Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2025 is a testament to her passion for rodeo and dedication to the Western way of life.
A first-generation cowgirl, Jordan discovered her love for rodeo at age 12, competing in barrel racing and later excelling in rodeo queen competitions. Her past titles include Junior Miss Estelline Rodeo, Miss Days of ’76, Miss Rodeo Aberdeen, and Miss Range Days Rodeo. Each step of her journey has prepared her to proudly represent South Dakota’s rich rodeo traditions.
The daughter of Chris and Stephanie Westerman, Jordan graduated from Brookings High School in 2020 and earned an associate’s degree in law enforcement from Lake Area Technical College. As a certified law enforcement officer, she worked as a correctional officer at the Codington County Detention Center, where she also trained new officers, displaying her leadership and commitment to her community.
Jordan’s reign as Miss Rodeo South Dakota 2025 will officially begin with her coronation event on January 4 in Brookings, featuring auctions and a community celebration. Throughout the year, she will travel extensively, promoting rodeo and Western heritage across the region, culminating in representing South Dakota at the Miss Rodeo America competition in December 2025 in Las Vegas.
