About
Cailee Roper
Cailee Roper, the newly crowned Miss Rodeo California 2024, hails from the heart of California’s agricultural community, the small desert town of Brawley. Nestled in the southeastern corner of the state, Brawley is a place where the values of hard work, tradition, and the western way of life are deeply ingrained—and Cailee embodies these values wholeheartedly.
Growing up in Brawley, Cailee’s love for horses began at an early age. She started her riding career in the show arena at just seven years old, but it was during middle school that she discovered her true calling in rodeo. The switch from show horses to the excitement and energy of rodeo events was a natural one for Cailee, who found the sport’s combination of skill, bravery, and tradition to be a perfect fit for her. Her passion for rodeo grew over the years, and it was clear that she was destined to play a larger role in representing the sport.
In addition to her commitment to rodeo, Cailee has always been dedicated to agriculture education and service to her community. As a 4-H leader, she has inspired the next generation of young people to embrace agriculture and develop a deep understanding of the industry’s significance. She is also an active member of the Imperial Valley Chapter of California Women for Agriculture, an organization that advocates for the agricultural sector and works to raise awareness about its impact on the state’s economy and way of life. These experiences have reinforced her passion for not only preserving California’s agricultural legacy but also advocating for its future.
Cailee’s academic journey led her to Montana State University, where she recently graduated at 23 years old with a degree in Marketing Research. Her education has equipped her with the skills and knowledge to further promote rodeo and agriculture on a broader scale. Now, as she embarks on her professional career in marketing, Cailee is eager to apply her expertise to help elevate the visibility and reach of the rodeo industry, both within California and across the United States. Her role as Miss Rodeo California provides the perfect platform to combine her love for the sport with her educational background, enabling her to advocate for rodeo and agriculture in a meaningful and impactful way.
As the second oldest of five children born to Charles and Kari Roper, Cailee has always felt a responsibility to set a positive example for her family and community. She strives to embody the qualities of leadership, determination, and compassion, and she is honored to serve as a role model for others. As Miss Rodeo California, Cailee hopes to inspire the next generation of rodeo queens and young people, encouraging them to pursue their dreams with confidence and resilience.
Throughout her reign, Cailee will travel to rodeos, fairs, and agricultural events across California, representing the state’s proud heritage while promoting the values that make rodeo such an integral part of the western lifestyle. One of her most exciting opportunities will be competing at the Miss Rodeo America Pageant in Las Vegas in December 2024, where she will represent California on the national stage.
To support Cailee’s mission and the broader Miss Rodeo California organization, generous sponsors and donors play a vital role in funding her travels and activities throughout her year of service. Your contributions help ensure that Cailee’s advocacy for rodeo, agriculture, and the western way of life continues to inspire and resonate with communities throughout California.
Cailee Roper’s reign as Miss Rodeo California 2024 is just the beginning of a promising future, both in rodeo and in her professional career. With her deep-rooted passion for the sport and her commitment to her community, she is poised to be a positive influence, embodying the values of the western lifestyle and serving as a proud representative of the Golden State.
