Chris’s journey began in 1998 when, at the age of 17, she landed her first job as a Clinique beauty advisor. That role opened the door to a dynamic career that included positions with Estee Lauder and Von Maur, where she served as a Counter Manager, Cosmetic Manager, and later as an Estee Lauder Account Coordinator for the BonTon Corporation.
With years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the beauty industry, Chris built a strong foundation in both artistry and customer care. But the true spark that ignited her love for makeup came much earlier—at age 14, when her beloved grandmother gave her her very first pressed powder from Merle Norman. That gift, and the empowering presence of a strong, nurturing role model, planted the seed for what would eventually become Gunpowder N Gloss Beauty.

In 2014, Chris made the bold decision to step away from the corporate cosmetic world to pursue a more personal path. As a new mom, she wanted the flexibility to raise her children while still pursuing her passion for beauty. Out of that desire to balance motherhood and meaningful work, Gunpowder N Gloss Beauty was born. Built on a mission to help women feel confident, powerful, and celebrated, GNG offers on-location makeup services that are tailored, professional, and personal.
