About
Haven Davis
Haven Skye Davis, the 26-year-old Miss Rodeo Illinois 2024, is a dynamic young woman whose love for rodeo, agriculture, and service to others has shaped her into a powerful advocate for the western lifestyle. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, Haven earned a Master of Science in Strategic Communications and Mass Communications, with a focus on Sports Communication, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Agricultural Leadership. Throughout her education, she balanced academic achievement with a deep passion for agriculture and rodeo, making her a well-rounded and inspiring representative of Illinois.
Haven’s journey in the agricultural and rodeo world started early. Raised by Tom and Shelly Davis in Mason, she grew up with a strong connection to the land, spending her youth involved in 4-H and FFA. Her dedication to these organizations earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious 2018 American FFA Degree and the 2017 Oklahoma FFA State Degree. Haven also excelled in competitive events, earning titles such as the 2015 Oklahoma State 4-H Senior Champion Barrel Racer and the 2016 Hunter Hack Reserve Champion. These early experiences fostered her love for the western lifestyle and honed her skills in disciplines like barrel racing, breakaway roping, and team roping. As she competed in events like team penning, sorting, cutting, and boxing, she learned important values such as teamwork, integrity, and responsibility—qualities she now carries into her reign as Miss Rodeo Illinois.
Beyond her rodeo achievements, Haven’s academic journey also stands out. While at OSU, she earned a spot on the Dean’s List in the fall of 2019 and spent much of her time immersed in global agriculture. Haven’s travels took her to eight different countries, where she learned about agriculture and its role in different cultures, further broadening her perspective on the world and her connection to the agricultural community. Her time abroad gave her invaluable insight into the intersection of agriculture, communication, and international relations, which she plans to leverage in her future career as a philanthropic consultant. Haven’s ultimate goal is to help professional athletes find meaningful ways to give back to their communities through charitable giving and service.
As Miss Rodeo Illinois 2024, Haven is focused on promoting agriculture, professional rodeo, and the western way of life. She has held multiple rodeo queen titles, including First Runner-Up Miss Rodeo USA 2024, Miss Rodeo Sallisaw 2021, Miss American Cowboys Rodeo Association 2020, and Miss Great Salt Plains Stampede Rodeo 2016. With a wealth of experience representing her state and the sport of rodeo, Haven is excited to travel across the U.S. this year, sharing her passion for the western lifestyle with others. Whether she’s competing in rodeo events or engaging in community outreach, Haven uses her platform to inspire others to appreciate the values of honesty, hard work, and integrity that are central to the agricultural and rodeo communities.
Throughout her reign, Haven will also compete for the coveted Miss Rodeo America title at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas this December. The Miss Rodeo America competition is one of the most prestigious events in the rodeo world, offering state titleholders the chance to showcase their skills in areas such as appearance, horsemanship, and personality. Since its inception in 1955, the pageant has provided a platform for women to build strong foundations for their future endeavors, and Haven is honored to be part of that rich legacy.
Haven’s reign as Miss Rodeo Illinois 2024 is more than just a title—it is an opportunity for her to continue promoting the western way of life while inspiring others to live with purpose, integrity, and a commitment to service. As a western influencer, philanthropic advocate, and dedicated rodeo competitor, Haven is poised to make a lasting impact on the rodeo world and beyond.
