JoSee Saults
JoSee Saults, crowned Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024, will begin her reign in January 2024, bringing her passion for rodeo, agriculture, and leadership to the forefront of the Nebraska rodeo community. A 22-year-old from Big Springs, Nebraska, JoSee’s journey to this prestigious title has been shaped by a lifelong connection to the western lifestyle. Raised on her family’s ranch, where they raise horses and a small herd of commercial cattle, JoSee has always been deeply rooted in agriculture and the values that come with it: hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to service.
The daughter of Scott and Jill Saults, JoSee’s love for rodeo began at a young age. She competed in both junior and high school rodeo, and her passion for the sport only grew stronger as she continued through college. During her time at the University of Wyoming, where she earned a degree in Communication and a minor in Sociology, JoSee was an active member of the Eastern Wyoming College rodeo team.
She served as the team president, taking on a leadership role while competing in various rodeo events. Her specialty is breakaway roping, a sport that has always captured her competitive spirit and dedication. Training horses is another passion for JoSee, and she enjoys spending time on her family’s ranch, working with horses and further honing her skills.
JoSee’s journey to Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024 has been about much more than just rodeo competitions; it’s about promoting a platform that encourages growth, empowerment, and confidence in others. Her platform, “Rise and Shine,” reflects her belief in helping individuals—particularly young girls and women—embrace their potential and shine in their own unique way. JoSee’s vision is to use her role as Miss Rodeo Nebraska to be a mentor, offering guidance, encouragement, and support to others, particularly those aspiring to make a mark in the rodeo world. She hopes to leave a lasting impact, inspiring young women to pursue their dreams with confidence, just as she has.
JoSee’s deep faith plays an integral role in her life and has given her the strength to pursue this journey. She believes that God has led her to this moment, and she is deeply grateful for the support of her family and friends.
Her reign as Miss Rodeo Nebraska will give her the opportunity to travel the state, promoting the sport of rodeo and advocating for agriculture, youth mentorship, and community involvement. She is committed to using her platform to engage with audiences, especially young people, to foster an appreciation for rodeo and all that it represents—hard work, discipline, and respect for the western way of life.
In addition to her role as a mentor and leader, JoSee will represent Nebraska in the Miss Rodeo America competition in December 2024, where she will compete for the coveted national title.
Alongside JoSee’s exciting new role, the Miss Teen Rodeo Nebraska 2024 title was awarded to Maci Cox of North Platte. At 17 years old, Maci is an accomplished young woman who excels in academics and athletics, including high school rodeo.
For JoSee, the upcoming year is not just about wearing the crown, but about making a real difference in the lives of others. She plans to continue pursuing her passion for horses and rodeo while also working toward her next goal—attending law school in the near future. JoSee’s combination of ambition, leadership, and dedication to her community makes her a true ambassador for Nebraska, and her year as Miss Rodeo Nebraska will undoubtedly inspire many others to rise, shine, and chase their dreams.
JoSee Saults’ reign as Miss Rodeo Nebraska 2024 is a celebration of the western spirit, leadership, and the power of mentorship. With her strong roots in rodeo and agriculture, combined with her vision for inspiring the next generation, JoSee is poised to make a lasting impact on the rodeo community in Nebraska and beyond.
