About
Welcome to Moose Valley Ranch, a picturesque blend of rich history and natural beauty located in the heart of Spingdale, WA. Established in 1982 by Karen and Lester Hay, this sprawling ranch encompasses lush bottom wetlands, serene natural springs, and expansive mountain forests. The main ranch homestead, dating back to the late 1800s, reflects the ranch’s enduring legacy, originally functioning as a cattle ranch with a herd of Red Angus, Hereford, and South Devon cattle.
Visitors can access the ranch via two main entrances off Highway 231. At the southern entrance, explore a charming collection of historical buildings, including a quaint shed constructed in July 1892, nestled beside an abandoned house and machine shed. The northern entrance leads you past the stately main house and barn, through to an old-growth apple orchard that delights the local wildlife, featuring whitetail deer, bears, turkeys, elk, cougars, and, of course, our namesake moose.
Today, Moose Valley Ranch continues to thrive as a family-run operation, with Lester’s farming passion carried on by their son William, while their daughter Jessica and her husband CJ enhance the ranch’s offerings with a luxury western market, glamping experiences, and diverse events. Join us at Moose Valley Ranch for a unique blend of history, nature, and family traditions!
