For years, the idea of creating a quality Western décor and lifestyle brand was just a seed in the back of one woman’s mind. But in 2024, when life threw unimaginable challenges Valerie Walden’s way, that seed took root and grew into something truly special—Diamond W Ranch.
From Heartache to Hope: The Birth of Diamond W Ranch
The journey to building Diamond W Ranch wasn’t an easy one. Within a matter of weeks, Valerie found herself as the primary caregiver for her father, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and her mother, diagnosed with lung cancer—despite never smoking a day in her life. As if that weren’t enough, her husband suddenly fell gravely ill, leaving their construction business on the verge of collapse.
"I had been thrust into the role of caregiver for three people in the space of a few weeks. Our livelihood was crumbling around us. The seed in the back of my mind sprouted immediately, and I knew I had to take action to secure some sort of future for us."
Determined to build something of her own, she launched Diamond W Ranch on Labor Day weekend 2024 with a simple mission: to bring high-quality, authentic Western décor to those who shared her love for the Western way of life.

At first, the business carried products from the same mass-market suppliers as many other online retailers. But something didn’t sit right. The items lacked the soul, quality, and uniqueness she had envisioned.
