A Life Rooted in Nature
Born and raised in rural Eastern Washington, the founder of Wild Mountain Soul spent her summers immersed in the beauty of her grandparents’ farm. This early connection to nature shaped her love for the outdoors and her passion for creating. After moving to Idaho to study natural resource management, forestry, and horticulture, she discovered a deep appreciation for the land—a connection she still cherishes today as she and her family live on their serene 16-acre sanctuary.
“Our property is my safe haven. It’s where I can be creative, raise animals, and enjoy the outdoors. It truly feels like home.”
Together with her husband of nearly 25 years and their two daughters, she’s raised a variety of animals for 4-H and FFA, cultivated her creativity, and embraced the joys of country living.
The Spark of Creativity
For years, crafting was simply a personal passion. From crochet to felting, leatherwork, and beading, she explored countless creative avenues. But it wasn’t until 2024 that she discovered silversmithing—a medium that would transform her artistic journey.
“I signed up for an online class and immediately fell in love with silversmithing. It felt like the perfect way to express myself and bring my ideas to life.”
With sterling silver and silver metal clay as her canvas, she began designing one-of-a-kind pieces that capture her connection to the natural world. Her leather jewelry, equally unique, complements her silver creations and showcases her versatility as an artist.
Turning Dreams into Reality
In October 2024, she found the Cowgirl Entrepreneur Facebook group, a community of like-minded individuals who share her values and love for Western-inspired creativity. The group inspired her to turn her passion into a business, and Wild Mountain Soul was born.
